High Adventure #1 (October 1957) is a one-shot adventure anthology from the obscure American publisher Decker Publications, Inc. The issue collects historically tinged tales of exploration, danger, and the sea, including "Eric the Red," "Down the Hatch," "The Devil A Monk Would Be," "Wild Cargo," and "Heritage of the Titanic." Blending dramatized history with rugged action, the book sits at the crossroads of the adventure and non-fiction/educational comic genres that publishers leaned on in the late 1950s, after the Comics Code had sharply curtailed crime and horror titles.
