He studied Graphic Design at the University of Ulster, though his true passion has always been comics and animation. As it wasn’t possible to specialize in those disciplines during his formal studies, he pursued them independently, dedicating himself to mastering the craft beyond academia. His artistic growth coincided with a transformative era in comics, shaped by visionary creators such as Alan Moore and Frank Miller, while animation simultaneously expanded through the global rise of Manga and Anime.

With over two decades of experience, he is known for continually pushing his artistic boundaries. He actively studies other masters of the craft, constantly asking how their techniques can refine his own. The work of Alex Toth, in particular, inspires his pursuit of clarity — reducing lines to their most essential form and eliminating unnecessary marks. This commitment to visual economy and precision defines his artistic philosophy.

When working from a script, his focus is always on serving the story first. He strives to interpret the writer’s intent with clarity and impact, asking critical questions: Is this moment dramatic or action-driven? What should command the reader’s attention? His approach balances strong visual storytelling with narrative efficiency.

His creative process begins with carefully constructed pencil layouts, followed by a step back to evaluate flow, pacing, and impact. Only when the storytelling feels powerful and cohesive does he proceed to inks — maintaining the same disciplined attention to detail throughout.

Despite the time pressures inherent in the industry, he has never missed a deadline — a point of deep professional pride. He firmly believes that reliability and professionalism are just as important as talent, if not more so. Clients must be able to trust that when he commits to a project, it will be delivered on time and at the highest standard.
